Metropolitian Earl Grey Co2 Decaffeinated Tea

Metropolitian Earl Grey Co2 Decaffeinated Tea Review

Metropolitian Earl Grey Co2 Decaffeinated Tea Feature

At The Earl Grey Tea Company all of our decaffs are processed using the Co2 Process. The advantage of this decaffeination process is that no chemical solvents are used to remove the caffeine. Also, using the naturally occurring Co2 in a circulation process which carefully uses high pressure and temperature to extract the caffeine, the origin distinct character of the tea is retained in the cup. There is a slight change in the character of the tea due to the process but the end result is an uncompromising cup of tea with no chemical overtones. We use high grown Ceylon tea as the base for decaff tea for several reasons: High grown Ceylon gives us the character we are looking for - a flavoury and satisfying tea. The high grown estates are visited by us on a yearly basis to confirm that they undertake proper manufacturing techniques, keep plucking standards high, and reinvest in the estate and its personnel. Most importantly, high grown Ceylons retain their character under Co2 decaffeination processes much better than other teas we have tested.

"Whittard Black Tea Earl Grey Loose Leaf Tea Packet / 125g / 4.4oz.

This classic blend of quality leaf Indian and China teas is flavoured with bergamot. Originally famous as a luxurious afternoon tea named after an English Prime Minister, it would be drunk lightly brewed usually without milk in all the best houses. Today it is enjoyed as an all-day tea, often brewed a little stronger and drunk with milk.

Brewing: Brew using 2 or 3 teaspoons (5-8g) in a 6-cup (1 litre) tepot. Warm the pot first with a splash of hot water. Add the tea and pour on boiling water. Brew for 4-5 minutes.

Ingredients: Black teas from India and China, Bergamot Aroma.

3.52 oz Organic Cream Earl Grey loose Tea, Discovery Packet Feature

Just when you though another variation of Earl Grey wasnt possible, along comes Organic Cream Earl Grey. Now, before you go thinking were just exploiting the old mans memory to move product, let us explain why weve created this blend. Like all Earl Grey teas its flavored with oil of Bergamont, a stunningly sweet variety of citrus. Next it needs to be said that at the tea company, blending tea is in our souls. As such, when confronted with a fantastic flavor like bergamot we feel compelled - literally compelled - to experiment. First we toss and turn for a few nights racking our brains over what combinations we could try. Then we blend the flavor to within an inch of its life. Cinnamon, vanilla, apples, pomegranates, grapes, every variety of tea from oolong to Pu-Erh is tested. You name it, we try it. Every now and then, like an alchemist turning dirt into gold, our compulsion leads us to a concoction so delicious we decide to release it into the world. Such was the case with Organic Cream Earl Grey. The magical afternoon when this blend sprang into existence began with the opening of a bag of organic High Grown black tea. Fresh, full bodied and lively, we knew immediately that this would produce something special. Next, we added oil of bergamot and rolled the tea in our flavoring drum. Fantastic. Moments later, someone had the idea to mix fresh cream into the blend for added depth and dimension. As we brewed our first pot, it was as though the planets had aligned and the gods of tea were shining down like the rays of the sun. The cup exhibited a profound depth created by the balance of bergamot and natural astringency of the organic leaf. As if that werent enough, subtly layered under this were the sweet notes of cream. We were in love we were in tea heaven we were well, we could go on but brewing a pot will help you understand everything.

Earl Greater Grey Review

Earl Greater Grey Feature

Made from a base of exceptional whole leaf Ceylon, Assam and Nilgiri leaves, this exceptional blend will change your understanding of how Earl Grey should taste. It has become customary for very poor quality tea to be used as the base of Earl Grey. We use only stunningly high-quality leaves and bergamot which yields an intense, tangerine-grove freshness, refreshing and bright, with lifted citrus charm to create a tea that delights all the senses. Our Earl Grey is specifically blended for those who enjoy their tea with milk – its addition will compliment rather than overwhelm this tea. Ingredients: Ceylon & Indian Black tea blend with cold pressed, Italian Bergamot essential oils.   Embossed recyclable air tight tin containing 22 sachets of certified 100% fair trade and organic tea.
