Like all Earl Grey teas its flavored with oil of Bergamont, a stunningly sweet variety of citrus. Next it needs to be said that at the tea company, blending tea is in our souls. As such, when confronted with a fantastic flavor like bergamot we feel compelled - literally compelled - to experiment. Fresh, full bodied and lively, we knew immediately that this would produce something special. Next, we added oil of bergamot and rolled the tea in our flavoring drum. Fantastic. Moments later, someone had the idea to mix fresh cream into the blend for added depth and dimension. As we brewed our first pot, it was as though the planets had aligned and the gods of tea were shining down like the rays of the sun.
